Community Cookbook – An America250 Keepsake

In honor of America250, the Madison County Fair Board is gathering the recipes that have filled Madison County kitchens for generations. This community cookbook will be a collection of well-loved dishes—saved on index cards, clipped from newspapers, and shared across family tables year after year.

We invite our neighbors to submit the recipes that feel like home. Whether it’s a dish your grandmother made by heart, a recipe brought out for special occasions, or something that’s been passed down with a story attached, we would be honored to preserve it.

Recipes must be submitted by May 15, 2026.
Final selections will be made by June 1, 2026.

The finished cookbook will be available for purchase during the Madison County Fair, August 12–15, 2026.
